Passengers complain about the mafia scheme with PCR tests at Boryspil airport

Updated: Jul 19, 2021

People are outraged that airport workers procrastinate and then offer to buy a negative coronavirus test result for $150.

Koshmal reported how yesterday, July 17, happened to his friend, a UAE citizen returning from Kyiv to Dubai.

  • "Flight Sky Up Airlines PQ 481 at 11:35. He arrived at the airport at 9:00 am. At the check-in desk, he was denied boarding due to not having taken a PCR test. Though the passenger gave the information that he is returning home and a PCR test is not required by the UAE authorities to its citizens, they did not react at the reception desk. They just promised to check something in that regard, but later on, they refused. An airport representative then offered him to buy a negative test result in an official laboratory for $150."- says Roman Koshmal.

No samples were taken from the passenger for examination.

Also, it turned out that he was not the only case in such circumstances.

  • "I spoke on the phone with another guy who was also denied boarding and offered to solve everything on the spot for $150. He also bought. There was no other way out because you have to be in Dubai tonight." - the journalist writes.

Koshmal published photos showing the date and time of "sampling," the official seal, and the form of the CSD laboratory.

  • "But my friend was not in the lab at the time. Surveillance cameras can confirm that" he said.

The passenger also added official information from the UAE authorities, stating that UAE citizens are exempted from taking the PCR test before entering Dubai.

  • "Now I wonder where to look for the truth. Because the airport staff delayed till the last minute so that people could not ask for help," - concludes Koshmal.

We remind that, in Ternopil, certificates of PCR tests for a coronavirus were forged and provided to citizens, travel agencies, and visa centers from various areas of Ukraine.

TCH Television News Services published this post and photos yesterday, Saturday, July 17, 2021, on their website and today translated by me to our blog audience.

I cannot certify the integrity of the described above but trust the source of information.

Personally, I have a close trustful friend who flew out to the US last June 23, 2021, on Lufthansa. Though by American law, he is not obliged to present a negative PCR test at the United States border and is fully vaccinated, Boryspil's check-in staff desk demanded a PCR test result to allow in to go onboard. Even after he called the airliner and be informed the test was not required. He ended to purchase a rapid test that took 15 minutes to deliver and ran to the plane.

Now take your conclusions!

I trust he will show up in the comments and confirm my words.

The Ministry of Health recommends on PCR / rapid test document:

  • Be in English (translation into Ukrainian is preferable - not obligatory.

  • State the sample collection time and the time when received the result.

  • Specifically, mention the test type – PCR – polymerase chain reaction.

  • Show the full name, date of birth, and passport number of the traveler.

  • Include name, address, and contact details of the lab performing the test

  • Clearly state the result – COVID-19 Not detected or negative.
